English Antique Miniature Luminist Oil Painting Cottage Garden Idyllic Landscape

Description: This listing is for the antique painting that you see in the photos. I purchased it at an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told its age. It is not signed. I am guessing that it was painted around the turn of the 20th century in England. It looks to me I leave it to the buyer to decide when and where it was painted. The style looks to me like a type of luminism. It reminds me of some of the Thomas Kinkade paintings that I have seen. I leave it to the buyer to decide what the style is. The frame measures close to 9 by 10 3/4 inches. The area of the painting exposed by the frame measures close to 4 1/8 by 5 3/4 by 1 1/2 inches. The framed painting weighs close to 1 pound 6 ounces. I have not examined the painting out of the frame. It looks like the painting is on some kind of art board with a canvas like texture. I have not been able to see the back of it because it is covered with cardboard. The narrow darker areas that you might notice along the edges of the painting in the photos are only shadows from the lighting that I used. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. The frame shows some amount of wear to the finish. Frame and painting might benefit from a cleaning. The paint that makes the painting looks stable without cracks or flaking. Otherwise, painting and frame are generally in very good condition and as shown. My photos should give you a good idea of their general condition. I guarantee this painting to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them. I allow three business days for shipping but I usually ship the same or next day if possible. Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs “close to” because in my opinion no measurements are exact and some things are difficult to measure.
