This is a relatively contemporary piece, dating to anywhere from the 1950s-1990s, but the look of the piece is timeless. The pitcher is made in a lobed form, with panels of chased stippled texturing on each cardinal side. Three of the panels have a separately cast and applied decoration in the form of an acanthus leaf festoon, finely hand detailed and nicely done. The back panel has the handle, done in a C shape with foliate flourishes at the top and bottom where they join the body. The pitcher has a capacity of about 5 cups, or 40 fluid ounces/1.2 liters. This piece is in excellent condition.
