Description: This Sconce is an antique to be reckoned with! In the style of the Byzantine Empire. Created by the Edward F Caldwell Co of Manhattan in the early days of the last century. Three-Arm single sconce. Very heavy. Rewired at some point and I used this for years in my previous home. Signed on reverse by E F Caldwell. Original ceramic candles in place. 20" tall x 12.5" across at the candles. Look at the extreme detail. Sconce is gold with lion's head in statuary bronze finish.I have probably the largest collection of Caldwell lighting anywhere. I'm unboxing and hanging the sconces in a huge barn (see last picture) so I can more easily access them.
