I really am astonished at how so many of these units were assembled poorly with cold solder joints loose connections etc. Remember that many of these amps were purchased as kits and assembled by a novice hobbyist. In addition, at 60 plus years of age and use, the capacitors have dried out and resistor values may have changed. My service includes PARTS AND LABOR replacing ALL the original old capacitors, including an improved power supply quad cap that will offer better performance than the original. Safety rectifier diodes installed in order to help protect the original power supply. Bias supply will also be addressed with new bias capacitors and a modern diode to replace the unreliable selenium rectifier. All switches and controls will be cleaned. A thorough inspection of the other electronics will be performed. Price does NOT include tubes. New tubes can be supplied for additional cost. Your amplifier will sound BETTER than New!
