This is a story of a man (Quaid) who can enter and manipulate people's dreams and is recruited by a government agency to help cure the President of the U.S. of his nightmares about nuclear war. Quaid gives an excellent performance, frequently injecting enjoyable comic relief. Although the effects might be considered primitive by today's standards, the film treats us to some exceptional dream sequences that worked well for the time.
