Description: This early 1950s electric ice cream maker is the Dolly Madison County Fair model from the J.E. Porter Company of Ottawa Illinois. It's their earliest electric model - the motor label is marked "Patent Applied For" and the bucket is an adaptation of the older hand-crank version. By 1956, the company's advertisements featured buckets made of fiberglass plastic rather than wood. The unit is complete with the exception of an instruction manual: 10-1/2 by 13 inch wood freezer bucket with bail handle, enameled steel electric motor mount, 5-1/2 by 11 inch stainless steel freezing container, and dasher paddle. The 5-3/4 foot rubber cord and plug are in good condition with no damage, and the motor runs well. The bucket has some mild finish wear to the exterior as shown. Always happy to combine shipping.
