Description: Item Description:Design of Wood Aircraft Structures ANC-18 by the Munitions Board Aircraft Committee. U.S. Government Printing Office, 1951. Original printed copy. Contains numerous illustrations, charts and engineering data on research findings of using wood in various elements of aircraft construction. Only other copy I have seen online (Worthpoint ebay sale for $200 from 05/2013) is staple bound, whereas this copy is spiral bound with added rigid plastic covers. A few of the spirals are broken (see last photo), but still secure; I didn't even notice until taking the above photo. Covers protected it in storage, this book itself is in clean, excellent condition with only a previous owners name written on top of the contents page. General Disclaimer: Books have been on the shelves of a long-running, overwhelmingly overstocked used bookstore I purchased in 2023. Please examine photos closely to assess condition. If you have any specific questions, I encourage you to contact me. Furthermore, we have an estimated 400,000 books and paper items organized by genre over 7000 sqft. If there is something specific you are looking for, please let me know. Dealer friendly as well. Shipping Books Books will be shipped via USPS Media Mail, but I include an option for USPS Ground Advantage for marginally faster shipping for marginally more expense. Book will be sent via padded mailer with scrap cardboard to provide further rigidity and corner protection in transit. All higher value items receive additional added insurance with no cost to the buyer.
