Description: Jadite Depression Single Towel Bar COMPANY / MAKER: Unknown - quite a few Depression Era companies made these. They were usually sold to distributors and were not sold under the glass company's name. This towel bar is old--from the 1930's. It is from a group that we bought when the contents of an old warehouse were sold before it was razed for new construction. The hardware is new--see below. COLOR: Jadeite / Jadite ITEM: 16" to 17" CIRCA: 19 20s - 1930s MEASUREMENT: 16" to 17" CONDITION: If you are a Jadite / Jade-ite collector, you will love owning this pretty hard to find Depression Era single towel bar. This wonderful towel bar is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. All this interesting piece of history needs is 4 screws to fasten it to your wall! This jade-ite towel bar would fall into the Depression Glass category. This towel bar does glow when placed under a black light. It is from the 1930s. The hardware that we have with the towel bar is NEW. The die was cast from an original towel bar holder. Therefore it is identical in design to the old ones. The only difference is that this hardware is made from stainless steel and does not rust or become pitted like the early chrome plated hardware. It is easy to clean and it is solid. It will not ever peel like the old chrome plated hardware.
