Description: This auction is for a delightful, 1940's Roseville art pottery Clematis pattern wall pocket style vase. This lovely piece was purchased from a Baltimore County estate. This is an excellent example Roseville Clematis pattern wall pocket vase. The Clematis pattern originated by Roseville pottery in 1944. It has an organic shield like form with and a pair of flared pointy tipped handles, (see pics). It depicts a lovely pattern of a clematis flower with a dangling tail of leaves in high relief. This example is decorated in a multi blue colored matte glaze. This fine wall pocket vase measures 8 3/8" tall with a handle-to-handle measurement of approx. 6". It is signed on the back, Roseville 1295-8". The condition is excellent condition with no chips, cracks. There are mild signs of crazing on the back. All in all, a lovely example and to be a fine addition to your Roseville art pottery collection/fine decor. Please check my other auctions for nice antiques, collectables and such.
