Plants are drought resistant but do tolerate overwatering. Seeds and all other parts of this plant are toxic to humans and animals, they should be kept away from children and pets. Plants can grow 3 to 5 feet tall and are spreading out. Starting in August, spiky seed pods will appear. They pop open when seeds are ripe. Datura inoxia is an annual plant that will die in the fall with the first frost.
