Description: This is the Danelectro Dan-Echo delay pedal from the 1990s. It's an early pedal to use digital emulation of analog delay types. It's an amazing and classic delay pedal that still holds up today. Here's a rundown of the controls: LO-HI: This toggle selects between two ranges of delay time. LO is in the slapback range. HI doubles the delay time for longer, more ambient delays. MIX: This is the blend between dry signal and wet (echo) signal. Turn the knob clockwise for louder delay. Turn it counter clockwise for more dry signal. SPEED: This controls the rate of the echoes. Turn it counter-clockwise for slapback or tone-thickening delay. Turn it clockwise for longer, more ambient delays. REPEATS: This sets the number of echoes. Turn it full counter-clockwise for a single repeat. Turn it fully clockwise for infinite repeats that can be manipulated into self-oscillation. HI CUT: This is a low-pass filter tone control for the wet signal. Turn it fully clockwise for pristine digital delay. Turn it counter-clockwise to roll treble off the echoes, emulating warm tube-driven tape echoes, or dark bucket-brigade analog delay. This Dan-Echo is in good cosmetic condition. The electronics work perfectly. The pots, jacks and switches are all clean and quiet. The battery door latch is broken. I keep the battery door closed by sticking a piece of paper towel in the opening where the latch was. You can power this classic echo with a 9-volt battery, a 1Spot or Boss PSA-style ac/dc adapter, or with a standard 9-volt pedalboard power supply (min 300mA).
