Description: A Custom skinning knife that was purchased out of Oregon. The knife still has the original tag on it that says I/48 Skinner. It has a blueish tint to the blade (Cast Steel?). The grip is two pieces of wood with the full tang exposed in the grip. The grip is held on by three large copper rivets. It fits nice in the hand. The sheath is one of the rarest leather sheaths I have encountered. The sheath was made for the knife and is marked on the back. PC for (Personal Custom) Made for this knife. Geo Lawrence Co Portland Oregon and the number 6 below that for size of blade at 6 inches. Total length of knife at 10.75 inches. I was told that this is their Early mark on the sheath from 1910-1940. As the sheath was made for this knife that would be my conclusion as to age of the knife. The sheath in excellent used condition. Stitching all intact and minty. This rare sheath worth the value of the sale price. The blade has some light scratches and as shown on picture. Excellent used condition. If anyone might know who the Custom maker was of this piece I would love to know. Sale to USA only. Buyer to pay shipping. Must be 18 years or older to purchase and know your state laws regarding knives. If you are looking for a good early skinner knife in a extremely rare sheath, this might be for you. Call if any questions. Thanks for looking.
