This listing is for one stainless steel cremation pendant. The pendant has an empty chamber that is designed to hold the ashes of your beloved pet upon his or her passing. You will receive the pendant only, to be put on your own necklace, key ring, or other project. If you want to order it with a matching stainless steel chain, or on two different sized key rings, please check out our other store categories. We have included photos of the urn pendant on our matching necklace chains or key rings, to give you a good feel for the size, etc., but NO CHAIN OR RING IS INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING. This is a medium-large sized pendant. It can be worn by children, women or men. The pendant is about 35mm or 1 and 3/8 inch tall measuring from the top of the loop that holds the necklace to the bottom of the cross. The width is about 22mm (about 7/8 inch) at the widest point. The paw print is black print that does not rub off, even during bathing or when cleaning with alcohol. The back is flat and can be engraved, although we do not offer this service ourselves. Most of your local jewelry stores will offer this service for a small fee. We offer a large variety of pendant urns to choose from, so feel free to browse around in our store to make sure you select your favorite. The pendant can be filled using tweezers or a tiny funnel. If you do not have a funnel, you can make one out of a sheet of paper, and it will work just fine. First, unscrew the "door" on the top of the pendant. Place the tip of the funnel into the hole of the chamber. Add a small bit of ashes to the funnel, and carefully tap the funnel until the chamber is filled. A toothpick can be used to guide the ashes, if needed. With tweezers, just pinch a small amount of ash and the place it into the opening. Be sure to screw the cap back on tightly (but be careful not to over-tighten). Then, the pendant can be worn next to your heart at all times. To form a permanent seal, you can use a touch of metal-to-metal adhesive. Some people prefer them to remain able to open to scatter the ashes in meaningful places, and then be refilled back at home. NOTE: The pendant is NOT hollow; rather, there is a tiny chamber right under the screw, so only a small amount of ashes are needed. If you need a pendant that holds more, this is not the right style for you. Please check out the pendants in our store with the words LARGE VIAL in the title - they hold quite a bit more. Stainless steel is extremely durable and can be worn even during bathing. This includes the necklace chain, which will not rust, tarnish, or discolor no matter how many times you get it wet. Again, if you are going to be wearing it or using it as a key chain, be sure to seal it with a touch of superglue. Jostling can cause unsealed pendants to open unexpectedly and spill ashes. You can clean the pendant with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. It will not damage any part of the pendant.The pendant will come sealed in a tiny plastic zip-loc bag, with a little card with information about RescueArtWorks!
