The blanks were measured and drilled before inserting a brass tube. They were then trued on each end before being placed on my Rikon midi-lathe for the shaping using various chisels. When the desired shape was achieved I then took them through a multi-stage sanding process finishing with nine steps of micro-mesh, followed with multiple steps of polishing with cyanoacrylate, then Aussie oil and carnauba wax resulting in a glass like finish.
