Description: Up for your consideration is a mid 19th century book entitled CONTROVERSY Between Hughes & Breckenridge, consisting of letters between Rev. John Hughes and Rev. John Breckenridge debating theological points about Protestantism and Catholicism from October 1832 to October 1833 that were originally published in "The Presbyterian" and the Catholic Herald". The title page is missing, and there is quite a bit of period handwriting/notes throughout the book. Notes seem to indicate this book was in Scranton, Pa. in the 1870s. Binding is in good shape.
