Description: For sale is a set of four wonderful signed lithograph prints by the highly regarded Connecticut American Watercolor Society artist Tom Nicholas (1934 - These four lithographs feature for individual scenes. One scene looks to be a low country Florida low country scene. Two appear to be New England coastal scenes One lols to be a Carmel coast California scene. The artist painted it throughout the United States as well as extensively in Europe. All are signed and dated 1977 by the artist in pencil. Condition: All of the artwork images being in fine condition. Two of the prints having some foxing in the margins. One having some light water staining to the margin. Measurements: Full sheet - 20 7/8" x 16 3/8" Image Size - 13" x 16" Thru will all frame up wonderfully SHIPS CAREFULLY ROLLED IN A LARGE SHIPPING TUBE Tom Nicholas, N.A., A.W.S. was born in Middletown, Connecticut in 1934. From 1953 to 1956 he was a scholarship student at the School of Visual Arts, New York City. In 1961 he received an invitational Greenshield Grant for two years of painting abroad and in the U.S.A. Tom is an Academician of the National Academy of Design and a Dolphin Fellow of the American Watercolor Society. His many awards include 45 Medals of Honor received nationally as well as regionally. He has had over 40 one-artist shows in New York City, Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, California, Florida, Texas and Maine exhibiting oils and watercolors. Since 1960 Tom has painted throughout Europe and the United States. Listings include: Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Art and Who's Who in the East and many art magazine articles. Tom's work is in many private and public collections including the Farnsworth Museum, Maine; the Butler Institute of American Art, Ohio; Springfield Art Museum, Missouri; Peabody Essex Museum, Massachusetts and the Hispanic Society of American, New York City. He has 80 images in the archives of the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of American Art, Washington, D.C.
