Description: Every late 1800s Singer Sewing Machine was sold with one of these accessory boxes. This one is COMPLETE with all 5 bobbins, screwdrivers and attachments. Box is stamped with the patent date — February 19, 1889. This fingerjoined box is a wonderful dark brown oak. It’s 6 1/2” long x 3 1/2” tall x 3 1/4” deep. Easy to close, it just rolls up and is lined with a dark purple velvet in wonderful condition — no slits, splits or tears. Hinges are in good working order. Original finish was removed and the box was refinished inside and out with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-buffed with paste wax and 0000 steel wool.
