Description: Up for buy it now is a used/AS IS IBM Model F107 4704 banking keyboard from the 1980s with USB Xwhatsit controller installed and is complete with the piezo buzzer as shown. All keys are sensed appropriately. The only thing I can see that is a little different on this particular unit is that the top row 1 through +/= with F1-F12 front facing legend keys are two piece keycaps whereas all others in the main block are one piece as they usually would be. This will require a full restoration and cleaning before using as a daily driver as there is lots of dust and dirt inside that has accumulated over the years. It is also possible that some of this dust will shift during shipping, so some keys may not register once you receive it, but they will go back to registering when you restore it. The original controller has been replaced with a programmable original style Xwhatsit USB controller so that it can be used with modern computers. The case has also been partially cleaned, but it is otherwise un-refurbished and will require a full restore to get the decades of dust and likely degraded foam mat particles out. All keys registered at the time of testing, but again, with the decades of dirt and dust that could get into the way of the capsense pads during shipping, I don't recommend using the keyboard from a reliability standpoint until you restore it. I is sold AS-IS and you will receive exactly what is pictured. My estimation is that there are only 200 or so of this model known to still exist. This is mainly because most banking equipment gets destroyed after it is retired from service as a matter of protocol (even if it is not possible to store any sensitive data on the peripheral in question - such as keyboards, mice, printers, and monitors).
