Battery should be replaced when installing your motherboard, Do not use a screwdriver or metal to remove it or you will damage your motherboard. Does not include operating system or hard drive. Compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000. Note: When installing your drives you must use your original Compaq spare Hard drive, floppy and CD drives to be detected by your motherboard BIOS sucessfully. Otherwise if re-building your computer you might try other drives brands such as Quantum, NEC, IBM, etc., not all brands can be detected by this Compaq motherboard. Also do not forget to install your original computer case spacers first before installing otherwise you might damage it, a motherboard should not touch metal under it, except at the holes where it's gonna be screwed together with the spacers and case. You should be confortable when installing, repairing or rebuilding your computer, otherwise ask for help to someone knowledgeable or at least have your service manual available to guide you through.
