Compact Disc - The 15" Regina Style 1 Automaton Disc Musical Cabinet

Description: This is an independently produced (sealed/newCD) field recording of the 15 Regina Style 1 Automaton Disc Musical Cabinet playing 15.5" metal disc recordings of popular songs and classics.This was the first Regina model to feature coin operation. This project was recorded with a condensor mic in a log home, so the audio has a unique ambiance. The owner had in his collection 27 metal stamped discs (one song per disc), and they appear on this CD - see photos for song titles and artwork. About 14 years ago our friend asked us to set up in his home and record his antique Regina Automaton tin metal disc player. We set up in his log house and recorded 27 songs (one per disc) from the metal discs as they were playing on the Regina Automaton You hear them on this CD as they sounded when playing in the "Musical Cabinet". These CD's are brand new sealed units, custom made for the owner of the Regina. You can read our neighbor's story in the liner notes-see photos. The music cabinet was previously owned by, and purchased from, Mr. Billy Demonbreun of East Nashville TN, and was in the old Maxwell House Hotel saloon in Nashville. It was sold at Auction in 2011 to liquidate the estate of our friend, the owner, after he passed away. Proceeds from this sale will benefit education in the community he where he lived, according to his wishes.
