Description: United States First Day Cover -- Scott #2817 the 29c Chinese New Year issue. Two plate number singles on a cover postmarked Pomona, CA on February 5, 1994, which is the first day. The cachet is a Colorano Original - States: "This is an original - completely hand drawn and painted cachet. No part of this design has been printed. Numbered and signed by the artist. Limited edition of 125." The artist has signed his name on the cachet at the lower right of the Dunne. And at the upper right of the cachet 24/125. Very fine condition. The prior owner in pencil on the back side notates Novak 22.50, 3/25/95. I assume that is a reference to a catalog number, but will defer to the specialist to verify. A nice cover for the specialist collector. The cover will be sent protected in a rigid cover protector, and in a cushioned or padded mailing envelope.
