Description: Here’s a piece of history. A 1840 Queen Victoria 1 Rupee from the East India Company. Minted in Bombay, 92% silver. The counter stamp is from Yemen, the Qa’iti period when small regimes would stamp some other country’s coin for their own currency. The coin holder is new, sterling silver, and makes for a very nice pendant.
