Description: RB2- Up for auction are these Civil War era Ration and/or poke bags, each order will have 4 bags. These bags are larger than the ration bags I have listed.Theywork great for period money, rations as well as modern credit cards, cell phones etc .Excellent for concealing modern medications and other needed items in the field. While I do not have specific documentation of the item, I made these for myself and they work well and so, I figure that a soldier of the period may have fashioned something similar. This auction will have 4 bags, approximately sized from 10"x6", 9" X 5.5, 8.6"x 4.5", 6.5"x 5.5". They are made of 100% cotton fabric, a combination of solid color, homespun and period print fabric. Fabrics shown are representative, your actual bags may vary in style, color & exact size but will all be 100% Shirting cotton. Look at all the photos, if there is a particular fabric and/or color that you would prefer, I will try to fill that request if possible. Items are new made and never used. Hand made and sewn on modern machine. Great for soldier or civilian alike or Cowboy reenactors, CAS, living historians of the Victorian era. Heck, my wife and I use them for everyday usage!! PERIOD UTENSILS NOT FOR SALE AND ARE PICTURED FOR SCALE PURPOSES ONLY. Comments from customers: "great addition to my kit, thanks again."
