Description: Rare CDV of the photographer John P. Greenwald and his wife Emma, mid-1860s, inscribed on the back to Dr. Foy. Greenwald was a photographer under the U.S. government during the Civil War. After returning from the war he had a photography business in Wooster, Ohio. Upon his death in 1871 of consumption, his wife, Emma C. Greenwald tried to carry on a photography business... by January of 1873 she was in business with Clippinger. CDV is 4" x 2.5"; VG antique condition.
