The Fork is Quality Chrome Steel, has 1 1/8" tubular Fork Blades, accepts a 100mm wide front hub, takes a 7/8" or 22.22mm Diameter quill stem, and has enough clearance for Fat 26" x 3.0" Monster Size Cruiser Tires. This Fork is a Custom Postwar Version for Postwar Schwinn Bikes with a 5 1/2" Head tube ( That's the head tube measurement without cups ) So that's Typically Most Postwar Vintage Schwinn Bikes, Mans and Ladies. Fork also works with 1941 Prewar Schwinn Mens Bikes with a 5 3/8" Head tube. You can pretty much assume this fork fits most All Vintage 26" wheel Schwinn Cruiser Bikes from 1941 to 1980. Fork comes with a Chrome 1 " Threaded headset with 32.5mm cups ( 32.5" Fits Schwinn and CWC Bikes ), we Strongly Suggest you use use the Headset Provided for Seamless Fit and Performance. The 27mm Crown Race is installed on the fork for your convenience, The Crown Race provided does not work well with Schwinn Flat Type Bearings, Which is why we recommend the headset supplied.
