Description: This lovely Chinese Travelling Mirrored Shaving Box/Dressing Table/Stand was purchased at a New Orleans estate auction in the early 1990s and has never been used. It features a mirror that can be raised and adjusted, and three front drawers that can hold a variety of items. The two top panels flip open to the left and right sides respectively, revealing the framed mirror that can be raised for use. When open, the top panels are supported at the sides by intricately designed brackets. The brackets fold back against the box sides when not in use. The panels, when resting on the brackets, have sliding inset panels that open to reveal additional storage space...perfect for jewelry or other items. The wood appears to be rosewood. Measurements when fully closed: 9-3/4" tall X 14-3/4" wide X 14-3/4" deep.Weight: Approximately 16 pounds unboxed.
