I have two for my twin boys who are 5 yrs old. All you do is slide a horseshoe durable plastic piece under the mattress. Now your tent is stable and installed on a single bed. Its that easy. I gave them to my mom so that when my boys are spending the night with Grandma they could enjoy these tents. At first i almost laughed thinking that there must be more to the tent but I tell you this as a pro not a con. They really are so simple yet they are still durable. I pride myself in being honest about the merchandise that I sell so let me let you know exactly what your getting. This tent is a flat nylon type material with a flexible band around the outside. You then take this flat piece and bend it into a dome its very easy. On the ends of the flat piece are two horseshoe shaped plastic pieces that slide between mattress and boxsprings or just under mattress. These horseshoe pieces hold the tent in a dome shape and kids can jump on it all day long. It isn't going to break or hurt the child. There are no poles like in an outdoor adult tent. Very durable! These tents only take up space on about half the bed. Your child can sit and read under the tent which has two little flaps that hang down and under the dome but when its time for bed the tent only covers about half of the children body allowing for your child to get under the covers and back out again by themselves.
