Our regular price for this poster is $149 Here we are offering a rarely seen silk-screened Cuban mini movie poster -- this one released in Havana in the early 2000s to salute a 1968 Cuban movie HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE ("Always Until Victory" or "Ever Onward to Victory"), which memorialized the Cuban hero Ernesto "Che" Guevara, who was killed in Bolivia in 1967. The documentary was made by the famed Cuban director Santiago Alvarez (the film has been posted on the Internet.) This scarce 12 by 17 inch handmade Pop Art poster was distributed by the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC) in the early 2000s as part of a portfolio of mini silk-screened graphics. The poster in this listing is a mini silk-screened version of a larger silk-screened poster designed for ICAIC by ALFREDO ROSTGAARD in 1968, when the movie HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE was first shown in Cuban theatres. The famed poster uses the iconic image of Che Guevara captured by the legendary Cuban photographer Alberto Korda. Overall condition of the poster is fair with some imperfections -- mainly wrinkles on the face of the graphic.
