This is one of the USMC aircraft that served in Vietnam 1965-1973, with over 100 shot down/destroyed on the ground in that conflict. The "Phrog" transported Marines to combat areas and returned wounded to field hospitals. This aircraft was also used during the 1993 invasion of Iraq. This model helicopter was retired in 2004.
