Description: With your purchase, I'll freshly cut Seven 9" to 11" long healthy new growth stems, with viable buds (diameter averaging 1/8" to 1/4") . Well, we've had a few days of freezing weather the last week, and it time again to sell some of this years new growth on my trees. You will get Seven (7) Stems about 10" long, that usually come with 2 nodes, and but at times 3 nodes for the thinner stems. So you will get the stems as fresh as possible, I wait to cut them till just before I package your order. These are living stems as indicated by the green you will see in the cuts. I cut them such that one end has a slanted cut, which is the end that goes up when planting. Pictures are of the grapes produced by the Catawba grapes the vine I'm cutting from produce. Thus, the grapes you see in these pictures, are what you should expect from your vines. The vines have been producing year after year, some years better than others. I also have a listing for Concord and Niagara grape vine cuttings, and there will be a refund 1/2 on shipping for each additional variety you buy. Indeed the stems I discard and are covered with small branches/leaves sprout on their own. Personally, I've found (using some left over cuttings) simply putting them in a few inches of water for a week or two inside, the buds start to swell and green. I've then gently inserted some into rich soil, and always keep them wet (to prevent shocking the leaves with water loss)..
