Description: I am Japanese seller. Product The long-awaited first SACD release of Beethoven: The Complete Symphonies, the culmination of Schuricht's art. The stereo version of the Ninth is included separately. The first SACD release of Schuricht's masterpieces from the old EMI recordings with the Orchestre de la Conservatoire de Paris. A new reissue has been made from high-quality masters, and the rare masterpieces have been vividly revived. In addition to all nine pieces, a stereo version of the Ninth is included separately. This is a complete limited edition of Schuricht's masterpieces. For this reissue, the master was digitized at 96kHz/24bit from the original master in Japan, and the SACD and CD layers were newly mastered separately. This is a permanent preservation disc. Together with the three Bruckner recordings with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, this is Schuricht's great legacy to the former EMI label. The Bruckner recordings have been reissued many times, including on SACD, but the complete Beethoven recordings have not been reissued in good quality, perhaps due to the fact that they were recorded in mono. The performance of the Schurichs is very good, but the recording has not been reissued in good quality. The performance is one of the finest of Schuricht's many recordings, and the graceful tone of the Orchestre de la Conservatoire de Paris at the time is one of the points to be appreciated, including the nostalgia for a sound that has been particularly lost today. The woodwinds and horns are particularly outstanding. The special feature of this orchestra and Schuricht's choice of the Orchestre de la Conservatoire de Paris for the recording at that time are also interesting factors (the reason why he chose this orchestra instead of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is described in detail in the booklet by Mitsuoka). However, it was a difficult time for EMI, which was in the process of transitioning from mono to stereo, and while the last two recordings with DECCA, “Unfinished” and “Haffner”, were stereo recordings, the subsequent EMI recordings were in mono and were not released in Germany and the U.S. at the time. It was not released in Germany and the U.S. at that time. In the UK, too, all but “Hero” and No. 7 were released as low-priced recordings. In Japan, the two recordings were released as a complete set, but some critics at the time questioned the combination of the two recordings, leaving the suspicion that the recordings were not properly evaluated. On the other hand, it is true that many listeners recognized the special characteristics of this recording early on, and it has been supported for a long time as a masterpiece that is still loved by many fans. This SACD release will help listeners to discover the magnificence of this masterpiece anew, just as if they were quenching their thirst.
