The Compstar Duramax crank is designed to be substantially stronger than the OE versions. This increase in strength centers around unique machining features, stronger steel material and a deeper nitride layer. Unlike the Ultra Billet Callies cranks, Compstar crankshafts are intended to be externally balanced with stock style damper and flywheel configurations.
