Description: c1930s CLARICE CLIFF Bizarre *My Garden* VASE - Hand painted 13cm H Very Good Description On offer is this lovely painted Bizarre CLARICE CLIFF VASE in the HAND PAINTED MY GARDEN pattern - this being the orange / black version of MY GARDEN. From the 1930s era. A cylinder vase which lightly graduates from the base. Moulded pattern to the exterior of the base which has been hand painted in orange yellow & black which is striking against the beige & drip glaze base. The interior is also drip glazed. Dimensions - Diameter Base 9cm - Rim 6.5cm Height 13cm Fully stamped to the base as pictured MY GARDEN (Hand Written) Hand Painted Bizarre by Clarice Cliff Newport Pottery - England In addition has a faint raised number 665 which will be the shape number CONDITION is good to very good. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration - paintwork is very good to excellent with a small blemish to the black near the base with some minor paint loss as pictures. The vase sounds dead when tapped however there are no hairlines noted and can only assume may be due to the original moulding of the vase. A striking vase from CLARICE CLIFF’s ORIGINAL bizarre range.
