c. 1894 Nicol & Co. "White City Barrel #1" Cast Iron Dime Registering Bank -Nice

Description: For sale is a very fine example of the scarce cast iron "White City Barrel No. 1" registering dime bank, manufactured c.1894 by Nicol & Company. The bank measures approximately 4" high and is in excellent condition: it has all of its parts, works well, and retains most all of its original nickel finish and its original thumb screw. When a dime is inserted into the coin slot, the registering wheel moves one position and reflects the updated total. As with any piece this old, there is playwear, some isolated spots of light oxidation, and rubs to the finish. Nonetheless, the bank is hard to find in this condition and it displays wonderfully.
