Frogbit is a beautiful floating aquatic plant reminiscent of small lily pads floating on the water. Frogbit is one of the easiest aquarium plants to take care of and propagate. Frogbit is great for both fish and shrimp tanks, providing great natural filtration or hiding for shrimps/ fry to hide in and graze. Frogbit prefers slower water flow and the leaves do best when the tops stay dry. The roots vary in length depending on your tanks bio load. Minimum of 8-12+ hours of light per day is recommended for them. These frogbit have been growing in my shrimp only tanks. Occasional shrimp fry or baby hitchiker malaysian trumpet snails may be on them. Always shake or dip your plants prior to adding if you do not want them. (I will try my best to shake them off) There are zero snail eggs, Black beard algae, planaria, hydra or scuds on the plants.
