Description: A very early 1952, Elizabeth II, Royal Navy officer's sword and scabbard by Wilkinson Sword Co. Serial number 71850 is stamped on the edge of the blade. Etched blade with Elizabeth II cypher "ERII" and Queen's crown over the maker's mark "By Appointment to the Late King George VI, Wilkinson Sword Co. Ltd. London" on one side, and a King's crown over a fouled anchor on the other side. Lion head pommel with gilt hilt. Wire-bound white sharkskin grip. Ornate sword knot. Fold-over clasp, with owner's name "C. A. Hely-Hutchinson". In it's gilt brass-mounted leather scabbard with two rings. The hilt locks to the scabbard. Blade length 31", overall length 36.75 in, scabbard length 32.25 in.
