With the Stage 2 you will get a noticeable lope at idle without losing the smooth driving characteristics of the factory engine. Thanks to it's broad powerband, this camshaft works well with stock converters, and is the largest grind we recommend for 5.3L engines with the factory torque converter. The Stage 2 L83 Camshaft requires the use of a 4* VVT Phaser limiter block to maintain proper piston to valve clearance (included in this kit). A conversion to conventional non-DOD/AFM lifters will also be required (not included).
