Cesca Chair Marcel Breuer created the Cesca Chair shortly after leaving the Bauhaus in 1928 and named it after his adopted daughter Francesca. I also really like that you can easily order replacement backs and seats. I initially planned to buy these vintage, but the price for vintage was the same as new on this site! I also love that these arrived in pretty minimal packaging, only a few pieces of plastic wrap and one small sheet of bubble wrap- I absolutely hate trying to figure out what to do with a box full of styrofoam, so that made me happy! Assembly was pretty painless. The first chair was a little tricky, it�s a very hard wood and the pre-drilled holes were more of a suggestion than holes, so I carefully drilled the holes a little more thoroughly and then the seats went in really quickly. The holes on the back were better so I didn�t need to re-drill those. The whole process for 2 chairs was about 30 minutes start to finish.
