Description: Up for your consideration is this great set of antique books, titled "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" by Gibbon and is a must-have for history enthusiasts. It was published in 1899 by Peter Fenelon and is a part of the "Nations of the World" historical book series. The books are written in English and are a nonfiction narrative about the fall of the Roman Empire. The set is just missing Volume 1, but could probably be found from another seller on Ebay. These books are in good antique condition, the covers do have some discoloration ahnd wear, but most of them the binding intact. Only volume 3 did I find that the title page is ripped a little more than half way down from the binding, but the other books seem to be ok. There is a some writing on most of them mostly on the last page. Looks like someone was taking some notes. Kind of cool to see what they wrote back then.
