Description: “Smiling Pig” Mold No. 4709German Porcelain, figural, 1/2 liter, figural pig head.No text on this specimen by Ernst Bohne Söhne Condition & Description: Overall in very good condition, only issues of note: an original factory glaze blister & the pigs hooves were touched up to enhance color and cover small glaze flake (glaze blister is located somewhat out of sight in the lower rear near handle, shown in last pic, exactly as pictured). The pig is a good luck symbol in Germany, or at least was when the stein was created 110+ years ago. Also of note, the underside of the pewter ring is engraved "Heidelberg 1911". This is a very curious and happy pig character stein with great presence & displays incredibly well. Dimensions: Height: ~6" tall from base to top of thumblift. Width: ~4.5" at widest portion of body. On the subject of shipping and handling, I have a 100% success rate(knock on wood) with the steins I have packed and shipped arriving to their new homes in perfect condition. This stein will be well packed and shipped fully insured, UPS ground, FedEx home or USPS priority. Also, please note I am always more than willing to combine shipping. Let me know if you have any questions and thank you for looking.
