Could be used on higher bars but you would have to extend the wires.This is a brand new never used switch.Bought this some years back for doing restoration work.Currently not available from BMW or anywhere else I can find.Has been in clean dry storage for all this time.Correct for most BMW 1975-1978 AIRHEADSWill work on 1979-1995 too, but you would need to replace both left and right switch.
