Both the selector shaft and selector lever are made of T6 Aluminum. Due to the countless uses and exposure to the elements, both parts are Hard Anodized to prevent wear and corrosion. Although the AOD is a 4-speed transmission, they have only three forward shifter positions, so a 3-speed shifter must be used.
