Description: A beautifully made Japanese suit by tailor Black Sign who have a strong focus on historical quality and detail. This suit is no exception. Based on a suit from the 1930s, the features and fit make it quite different to a contemporary suit. The trousers have a wide leg and a high rise with waist adjustment via two cinches.They are tagged as size 36. However they’re a true 36 so more accurately compared to a 34 in modern sizing. The jacket is supposed to fit a little more closely with a flattering hourglass taper to the body. Tagged size 40.Classic tailoring is far more comfortable and flexible than modern suiting with much focus on ergonomics, proving true with this piece.(Please refer to photos with measuring tape) The suit was purchased for $2000 from Lieutenant and Co. here in Melbourne Australia.It was worn once to a function and has remained hanging in the wardrobe for a couple of years.
