The stock OEM black breech screw has a couple of inherent problems at times: It takes a .050" hex key to loosen or tighten. Lots of folks don't have that one! If you don't hold your mouth just right (or even look at it wrong) it strips out.THIS IS THE FIX! STAINLESS STEEL is very hard and does not rust or tarnish. SLOTTED accepts a standard slotted (flat head) screw driver.I'd consider this a forever item as long as you don't abuse it or lose it! We have long made the stainless Phillips head breech screws for the breeches we make for Crosman. We gave it a different depth and shape. But I needed some of these to fit the actual Crosman breeches so I made a little pile of them. Not at all my favorite thing to do or to make, but I saw some of the "competition" (what you otherwise have to choose from) and quite honestly couldn't believe how rough as a cob they look!
