It replaces the OEM magazine extension limiter that comes standard on all new Benelli M4s from the factory. This magazine extension tube increases the capacity of your Benelli M4 by 2 rounds. Increasing the total capacity to 7 shells of 2-3/4”, or 6 shells of 3”. Ghost loading increases each shell count by an additional 2 rounds (nine 2-3/4” or eight 3”). The Benelli M4 magazine extension is coated in a durable black Cerakote that closely matches the finish of the factory 5-round tube that it screws onto. It is a much better match than the aluminum OEM magazine extension limiter, which is a dark anodized black that matches the receiver. Unlike many aftermarket Benelli M4 magazine extensions, ours slides through the middle barrel ring when field stripping without having to unscrew the extension. Installation: 1) Unload M4 and put on safety glasses. 2) Remove magazine cap, barrel, and unscrew limiter. 3) Use snap ring pliers and carefully remove the retaining ring. 4) Screw on new magazine extension firmly. Install retaining ring into the new magazine extension. 5) Reinstall barrel and magazine cap.
