Description: Beautiful Old Girl's Net, Pearl & Lace First Holy COMMUNION VEIL, Original Box Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE HOLY COMMUNION VEIL Sweet vintage little girl's holy first Communion veil measuring about 24" long from the headpiece top to the lace trim edge. Featuring a gathered tulle netting headpiece trimmed with a dainty line faux pearls on wire trim, netting is finished with a wide lace edge. Designed to fit over the crown of the head, there are two small loops made from the wired pearls that can be used to attach a ribbon for securing when worn. Complete in the original tissue and box, label is marked PAUL F. SCOTT STATIONER, Santa Barbara & La Jolla. Dating 1950s (I think), condition is very nice with no holes in the netting, no tears, or damage - I can see a pin point dot of tan on the pearl end from the glue darkening - this does not detract a bit and is mentioned for accuracy - the veil is wrinkled from spending so many years in the box and has a slight cardboard smell - think it just needs to be aired out - the box is crushed on top and the lid sides are torn - box is in rough shape, but has protected the veil beautifully. I purchased this for a large Bru doll, but she never wore it -- think it would be a charming addition to any collection or display - evokes memories of a special, innocent event in a young girl's life.
