Description: Gorgeous designer signed ornate sterling silver, onyx, opal and malachite intarsia inlay deco style ring, size 5, sizable. This ring is really lovely and well made. It is 5/8” long by 13/16” wide and weighs 6.7 grams. It has dimensional design elements including a raised oval section at center inlaid with onyx, malachite and colorful opal in a hexagon pattern. This ring is in very good pre-owned condition with no damage that I could find other than, perhaps, very minor surface wear or oxidation. Intarsia requires great skill to do, particularly in jewelry. It is a technique in jewelry, etc., of cutting stone(s) into shapes and fitting them together to create a picture….in this case a pleasing hexagon representing opal, malachite and onyx. Jewelry created using intarsia is becoming very hard to find. This ring is quite special considering this, aside from the fact that it is lovely, well made and has a wonderful design. This ring is signed, “WK, 925” and it has been professionally tested as sterling silver.
