Description: A unique and beautifully hand cast, hand painted painted set by Beau Geste of Argentina. Also a very unique subject model. The 39th New York Volunteers Infantry Regiment was known as the "Garibaldi Guards". The soldiers wore a uniform similar to that worn by the Italian Bersaglieri. The Garibaldi Guard, recruited in New York City, was composed of 3 Hungarian companies, 3 German, 1 Swiss, 1 Italian, 1 French, 1 Spanish and 1 Portuguese, most of whose members had already seen active service. Figures are 54mm. The quality of the cast and paint is excellent. This is a rare set and a fantastic add to your collection.
