An onlooker would not mistake them for new boots because they do not look the part. They look like boots that have seen prior service. This opinion is based on their overall appearance as opposed to any particular flaw(s). That said, they are totally problem-free and just show honest wear/signs of use. Close examination reveals that all surfaces are clean with no flaws or blemishes of any consequence. Although the surfaces are clean there is an even layer of rub/friction which causes them, in a macro sense, to no longer have a new appearance. The insides are also clean for pre-owned. The wear on the bottoms is remarkably mild. Overall these booties are nice, pleasing looking, and have plenty of life ahead of them. The uppers are composed of genuine suede. The color is true black. The inside lining is a wool blend on the sides (also black) and the white lining on the bottoms is genuine fleece, or as the tag calls it, sheepskin. This dual-composition lining will keep the feet warm on cold days. Zippers on the inner sides to aid in putting on/removal. Mid-calf shaft height. Relatively lightweight with a grip pattern on the bottoms to prevent slippage. The size is youth/child's nine which will be worn by a toddler or one just out of the toddler stage. Great booties!
