BATTLES OF AMERICA BY SEA AND LAND; CONSISTING OF THE COLONIAL AND REVOLUTIONARY BATTLES, THE WAR OF 1812, AND THE MEXICAN CAMPAIGNS; WITH BIOGRAPHIES OF NAVAL AND MILITARY COMMANDERS... By Robert Tomes. Published by Virtue and Company New York. 1861 This is Volumes II and III only. Volume I not included. Volume II has 512 pages. Volume III has 560 pages. Both volumes have leather spines and corners, with 5 raised bands on the spines. The most wonderful thing about these volumes I think are the steel engravings. These are fabulous. Volume II has 15 plates. Includes "Indian Massacre at Wilkesbarre" and "General Harrison and Tecumseh". Volume III has 20 plates. Includes "Tecumseh Saving Prisoners." Very good condition overall. No interior markings. No torn or bent pages. No library markings. Bindings sound. All text and illustrations clear. There is some browning/foxing in places - not a large amount. The steel engravings are sharp and clear. See photos please. Returns accepted with full refund if you are not satisfied. (You would need to pay return shipping.) Sorry, no sales to Canada or anywhere other than 50 U.S. states. If you visit someone, and you see no books in their house - Run Away! Run Away! RM-1
